Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks climb at open after US rally
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks opened higher on Monday after a strong US jobs report reinforced confidence in the world's number-two economy, fuelling a rally on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong rose 0.21 per cent, or 45.93 points, to 22,281.82.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.14 per cent, or 4.82 points, to 3,529.81, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.17 per cent, or 3.86 points, to 2,237.12.
