Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks dip at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks extended losses in early trade on Thursday following a broad sell-off in New York and as investors grow concerned about a planned output cut by key oil producers aimed at supporting prices.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.13 per cent, or 29.40 points to 23296.03.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.12 per cent, or 3.71 points, to 3,112.60, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slid 0.11 per cent, or 2.29 points, to 2,067.07.
