Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks ease at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks retreated in the first few minutes of trade on Friday following losses on Wall Street as investors cashed in profits from recent gains.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong opened down 0.81 per cent, or 174.10 points, at 21,448.15.
And in Shanghai, the benchmark composite index fell 0.67 per cent, or 19.86 points, to 2,933.03, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.67 per cent, or 12.40 points, to 1,836.13.
