Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks edge back down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks fell back again Friday morning after climbing more than one per cent the previous day, with investors awaiting the release of a key US jobs report later in the day.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.41 per cent, or 84.09 points, to 20,622.83.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.55 per cent, or 16.52 points, to 3,000.33, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.10 per cent, or 1.98 points, to 2,013.17.
