Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks edge up at open

[HONG KONG] Shares in Hong Kong and China nudged slightly higher in the first few minutes of trade Monday but investors moved cautiously after US jobs data last week came in sharply below forecasts.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index added 0.11 per cent, or 23.89 points, to 20,971.13.
And in Shanghai the benchmark composite Index edged up 2.31 points to 2,940.99, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.30 per cent, or 5.84 points, to 1,920.65.
