Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks extend losses at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks extended last week's losses as traders contemplate the long-term impact of a Donald Trump presidency, with concerns US interest rates will rise more sharply than previously expected.
The Hang Seng index fell 1.12 per cent, or 252.46 points, to 22,278.63.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.26 per cent, or 8.33 points, to 3,187.71, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.19 per cent, or 4.03 points, to 2,104.00.
