Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks fall at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai shares fell at the open on Friday following losses on Wall Street as data showed the US economy grew at a slower-than-expected pace in the first three months of this year.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.81 per cent, or 127.36 points, to 21,488.96 in the first few minutes.
And in Shanghai, the composite index sank 0.35 per cent, or 10.21 points, to 2,935.38, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.44 per cent, or 8.26 points, to 1,866.05.
