Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks open up
[HONG KONG] Shares in Hong Kong rose in the first few minutes of trade Wednesday, building on gains in the previous two days, following another record close on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.62 per cent, or 131.90 points, to 21,356.64 in opening deals.
Additionally, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.13 points to 3,049.51, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.22 per cent, or 4.39 points, to 2,029.41.
