Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks rally after opening
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied again on opening Tuesday, after Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen sounded a confident note on the US economy and reiterated her view that any interest rates rise would be gradual.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.90 per cent, or 188.74 points, to 21,218.96.
Shanghai's composite index was marginally higher, adding 2.18 points to 2,936.28, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.01 per cent, or 0.28 points, to 1,920.40.
