Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks start day up

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks opened higher Monday, extending last week's gains in early trade.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.33 per cent, or 76.15 points, to 22,843.06.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.19 per cent, or 5.81 points, to 3,056.48, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, ticked up 0.18 per cent, or 3.56 points, to 1,977.23.
