Hong Kong: Shares close down after Fed meeting
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks finished lower Thursday, along with most other Asian markets, after the Federal Reserve left on the table the option of an interest rate cut before the end of the year.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.20 per cent, or 44.65 points, to end at 22,174.34.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ended slightly higher after Wednesday's sharp losses, edging up 2.32 points to 2,994.32.
But the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.15 per cent, or 2.99 points, to 1,951.00.
