Hong Kong: Shares close down ahead of US rates move

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks tumbled Monday as investors look ahead to an expected US interest rate hike later this week, while an early surge in energy firms petered out.
The Hang Seng Index fell 1.44 per cent, or 327.96 points, to 22,433.02.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 2.47 per cent or 79.91 points, to 3,152.97 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, plunged 4.86 per cent, or 100.68 points, to 1,969.33.
