[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks dipped in the first few minutes of trade Wednesday, tracking losses on Wall Street while dealers took their foot off the pedal following a two-day rally.

The Hang Seng Index edged up 0.29 per cent, or 69.53 points, to 23,619.91.

Mainland Chinese markets are closed all week for the National Day holiday.
