Hong Kong: Shares open up on Thursday
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks started on Thursday with gains as investors tracked another record close on Wall Street while they keep an eye on US President Donald Trump's state visit to China.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.56 per cent, or 162.25 points, at 29,069.85.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.14 per cent, or 4.79 points, to 3,410.67 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.05 per cent, or 0.96 points, to 2,012.75.
