Hong Kong: Shares opens higher, Shanghai stocks flat
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks extended a rally Tuesday after heavy falls last week, but Shanghai opened flat despite gains on global markets.
The Hang Seng Index was up 0.62 per cent, or 170.06 points, to 27,420.29 in the first few minutes of trade.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.07 per cent, or 2.13 points, to 3,235.23, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.07 per cent, or 1.33 points, to 1,881.10.
