Hong Kong: Stocks 1.59% higher at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks climbed 1.59 per cent in early exchanges Friday, adding to a two-day surge as mainland investors pile into the market following a year-long rally in Shanghai.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 429.29 points to 27,373.68.
In mainland China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.13 per cent, or 5.18 points, to 3,952.35.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.05 per cent, or 1.08 points, to 2,098.05.
