Hong Kong: Stocks close down 0.41%
[Hong Kong] Hong Kong shares ended 0.41 per cent lower on Tuesday as earlier gains were wiped out by lingering concerns about the global economy following more losses on Wall Street.
The Hang Seng Index declined 95.41 points to 23,047.97 on turnover of HK$62.52 billion (US$8.07 billion).
In China the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.28 per cent, or 6.53 points, to 2,359.48 on turnover of 170.2 billion yuan (US$27.8 billion).
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.28 per cent, or 3.83 points, to 1,345.64 on turnover of 198.3 billion yuan. AFP
