Hong Kong: Stocks close higher
[HONG KONG] Shares in Hong Kong rose on Tuesday as investors returned from a long weekend, while attention turns to a Federal Reserve policy meeting and the release of US jobs data later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.33 per cent, or 81.00 points, to 24,696.13.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.35 per cent, or 10.95 points, to 3,143.71 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was flat, inching 0.04 points lower to 1,906.88.
