Hong Kong: Stocks down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares opened lower Thursday morning following a tepid lead from Wall Street after the Federal Reserve left open the chance of an interest rate hike before the end of the year.
The Hang Seng Index eased 0.38 per cent, or 83.73 points, to 22,135.26.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index also fell 0.38 per cent, or 11.50 points, to 2,980.50, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.23 per cent, or 4.45 points, to 1,949.54.
