Hong Kong: Stocks ease 0.21% at open; China up
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks retreated on Friday after racking up gains of more than two per cent over the previous two days, while losses on Wall Street also added to selling pressure.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index dipped 0.21 per cent, or 51.36 points, to 24,417.53.
In mainland China, the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged up 0.13 per cent, or 4.81 points, to 3,587.08.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.08 per cent, or 1.38 points, to 1,829.24.
