Hong Kong: Stocks edge down at open
[HONG KONG] Shares were barely moved in early Hong Kong trade Friday as investors brushed off a positive lead from Wall Street and another improvement in Chinese factory activity.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.05 per cent, or 12.57 points, to 24,288.52.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged 0.12 per cent, or 3.99 points, down to 3,206.25 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, inched 0.65 points lower to 1,978.93.
