Hong Kong: Stocks edge up soon after open

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday morning, in line with broad Asian gains and following a positive lead from Wall Street.
In early trade the Hang Seng Index added 0.24 per cent, or 77.35 points, to 32,964.62.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.06 per cent, or 2.16 points, to 3,478.67 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.21 per cent, or 3.86 points, to 1,873.96.
