[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose on Monday as investors brushed off losses on Wall Street, with buying supported by China's announcement last week that it was lifting limits on foreign ownership in the financial sector.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.21 per cent, or 61.26 points, to close at 29,182.18.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.44 per cent, or 15.17 points, to 3,447.84. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 0.29 per cent, or 6.01 points, to 2,045.18.
