Hong Kong: Stocks end week with surge to new record
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks surged to another record high on Friday, rebounding strongly from the previous day's losses with tech firms among the big winners.
The Hang Seng Index jumped 1.53 per cent, or 499.67 points, to 33,154.12.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 0.28 per cent, or 9.82 points, to 3,558.13 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.16 per cent, or 3.09 points, to 1,950.21.
