Hong Kong: Stocks extend losses at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks fell on Wednesday morning, in line with losses across Asia and following data showing China's forex reserve hit a six-year low last month as it fights to support the yuan against huge capital outflows.
The Hang Seng Index dipped 0.54 per cent, or 125.78 points, to 23,205.79.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.16 per cent, or 5.00 points, to 3,148.09 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 0.15 per cent, or 2.94 points, to 1,924.23.
