Hong Kong: Stocks lose further ground at open

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks extended losses at the open on Friday, in line with a sell-off across Asian markets, as investors wind down for the weekend and look ahead to an expected tax plan announcement by Donald Trump.

The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.09 per cent, or 21.04 points, to 24,093.82.

And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.14 per cent, or 4.52 points, to 3,246.86 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, inched down 0.06 per cent, or 1.13 points, to 1,990.85.
