Hong Kong: Stocks open higher after Wall St rally
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks tracked gains on Wall Street and other Asian markets at the open Monday following a better-than-forecast reading on US jobs creation at the end of last week.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.71 per cent, or 163.99 points, to 23,293.20.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.22 per cent, or 6.94 points, to 3,147.11 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was flat, edging up 0.42 points to 1,910.21.
