Hong Kong: Stocks open higher after Wall St records
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks built on gains on Wednesday morning at the open following a record close on Wall Street where investors welcomed another day round of strong corporate earnings.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.41 per cent, or 108.76 points, to 26,960.81.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was flat, nudging up 0.77 points to 3,244.46, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, ticked 0.06 per cent, or 1.06 points, higher to 1,849.65.
