Hong Kong: Stocks open week with fresh losses
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares fell in the first few minutes of trade on Monday, tracking a sell-off on Wall Street and extending last week's losses on concerns about an expected jump in US interest rates next year.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.67 per cent, or 148.00 points, to 21,872.75.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.07 per cent, or 2.28 points, to 3,120.70, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was marginally down, dipping 0.84 points to 1,990.80.
