Hong Kong stocks push rally into tenth day at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares opened higher Friday, building on a nine-day rally following another record on Wall Street although gains were tempered by profit-taking.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.14 per cent, or 37.23 points to 26,777.44.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.25 per cent, or 8.27 points, down at 3,236.59 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, shed 0.14 per cent, or 2.57 points, to 1,845.40.
