Hong Kong: Stocks rally at open after Fed minutes
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rallied on Thursday at the open after minutes from the Federal Reserve's July meeting showed disagreement on when to hike interest rates.
The Hang Seng Index was up 1.18 per cent, or 270.14 points, to 23,069.92.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.06 per cent, or 1.80 points, to 3,107.75, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.14 per cent, or 2.92 points, to 2,040.35.
