Hong Kong: Stocks resume gains soon after open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares edged up in the first few minutes of trade on Tuesday, resuming a rally following the previous day's losses that capped a 14-day run of gains.
The Hang Seng rose 0.40 per cent, or 124.92 points, to 31,463.79.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.21 per cent, or 7.02 points, to 3,403.47 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, shed 0.20 per cent, or 3.79 points, to 1,909.98.
