Hong Kong: Stocks rise at open

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged up in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday, tracking Wall Street higher, but energy firms suffered from profit-taking after the previous day's gains.

    The Hang Seng Index added 0.15 per cent, or 37.53 points, to 25,428.87.

    But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.20 per cent, or 6.29 points, to 3,069.39 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slid 0.26 per cent, or 4.78 points, to 1,823.44.
