Hong Kong: Stocks rise in opening trade
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rose in the first few minutes Friday, capping three days of sharp losses, as China released upbeat inflation data.
The Hang Seng Index added 0.61 per cent, or 140.91 points, to 23,172.21.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.14 per cent, or 4.36 points, to 3,056.99.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dipped 0.13 per cent, or 2.71 points, to 2,046.60.
