Hong Kong: Stocks start day with gains
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong rose with most other regional stock markets in the first few minutes on Friday, tracking a record close for all three main indexes in New York following a strong private jobs report.
The Hang Seng added 0.51 per cent, or 130.81 points, to 25,940.03 soon after the open.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index eased 0.27 per cent, or 8.39 points, to 3,094.23 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 0.36 per cent, or 6.31 points, to 1,767.30.
