Hong Kong: Stocks start week in winning way
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares resumed their upward march on Monday, with traders brushing off a weak lead from Wall Street as they look ahead to the release of big-name US earnings this week.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.53 per cent, or 140.74 points, to end at 26,846.83.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.39 per cent, or 12.62 points, to 3,250.60. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, moved up 0.48 per cent, or 8.86 points, to 1,854.67.
