Hong Kong: Stocks track global sell-off at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks sank more than one per cent at the opening Wednesday, in line with a global retreat on concerns about Donald Trump's ability to deliver his key economy-boosting policies.
The Hang Seng Index shed 1.04 per cent, or 256.79 points, to 24,336.33.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.47 per cent, or 15.39 points, to 3,246.22 while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.46 per cent, or 9.38 points, to 2,034.56.
