Hong Kong: Stocks track Wall St higher at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose in early trade on Wednesday following another positive lead from Wall Street in reaction to data showing the US economy expanded at a quicker rate that expected in the third quarter.
The Hang Seng index added 0.41 per cent, or 92.43 points, to 22,829.50 soon after opening.
But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.33 per cent, or 10.78 points, to 3,272.14 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.18 per cent, or 3.79 points, to 2,106.57.
