Hot stock: Keppel gains 4% as Q3 profit rises 30%
KEPPEL Corporation on Friday rose by almost 4 per cent following the first rise in operating profit from a year ago since late 2014.
The stock gained 28 Singapore cents to S$7.30, with 15.9 million shares changing hands.
For the first time since late 2014, Keppel Corp saw both its quarterly revenue and operating profit rise year on year, helped by a multi-business approach that has offset the odds of a prolonged downturn facing the group's offshore and marine division. Its third-quarter net profit rose 30 per cent to S$291.8 million.
