Hot stock: Natural Cool's shares actively traded

MORE than a week after the ouster of all but one director on the board of Natural Cool Holdings, its stock has muscled its way to the most actives on Tuesday morning.

Half an hour into trading, the counter rose 0.7 Singapore cent to S$0.158, with more than 27 million shares changing hands.

Earlier this month, an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) - the second attempt to boot out the chairman - was held amid claims that some members of the new board and the shareholders who called for the EGM might be unhappy about the proposed divestment of HMK Energy.

All eyes are now on whether the new board will freeze a contentious proposed sale of the airconditioning specialist's stake in oil and exploration firm HMK Energy.
