Hot stock: OSIM shares up after founder raises offer

SHARES for OSIM International gained 3 per cent at the opening bell on Tuesday, after its chairman and CEO Ron Sim raised his privatisation offer for the firm before the market opened.

The counter rose to as high as S$1.40 as 15.4 million shares changed hands. It traded at S$1.395 at 9.27am, up 2.95 per cent from the previous close.

Mr Sim had raised his offer for shares that he and his family do not own from S$1.32 to S$1.39 apiece. The offer will now close on April 17.
