Indonesia: Stock index extends losses to a fifth day

[JAKARTA] Indonesia stock index fell 1 per cent on Monday, extending its losses to a fifth day and reaching its lowest point since Aug 26.
Among the biggest losers were the country's largest automotive distributor PT Astra International, down around 4 per cent.
The index lost 3.9 per cent between Tuesday and Friday, as the rupiah continued to weaken.
The rupiah slipped to 14,695 per dollar early Monday, a 17-year low.
