MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.36 points to 1,742.29.

Volume was three billion lots worth RM2 billion.

Losers outnumbered gainers 451 to 429.
