    MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Thursday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 17.980 points to 1,715.670.

    Volume was 3.133 billion lots worth RM3.051 billion.

    Gainers outnumbered losers 595 to 308.
