Seoul: Shares climb as China rate cut lifts sentiment

[SEOUL] South Korean shares rose on Monday as China's latest interest rate cut helped provide assurance that global financial markets will continue to enjoy ample liquidity.
The Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) closed up 0.4 per cent at 2,048.08 points.
The South Korean won was quoted at 1,133.8 to the dollar at the end of onshore trade, compared to Friday's close of 1,124.7.
