SGX delays Wednesday market opening to 12:30pm
The Singapore Exchange (SGX) will delay the opening of the Singapore stock market on Wednesday to 12:30pm to let its members rectify errors from a software defect on Dec 1, the market operator announced early Wednesday.
The pre-open routine will begin at noon, and the market will remain open until 5pm and close as normal.
SGX said there was a software defect that has since been rectified.
"This delayed opening is to enable member firms to complete client position reconciliations, and rectify any errors in the end-of-day processing for Dec 1, 2014 on the securities client-accounting system hosted by SGX on behalf of member firms," SGX said.
