Shanghai, Hong Kong: Stocks open higher

[HONG KONG] Shanghai rallied in the first few minutes of trade Tuesday, following another strong performance in European markets, while Hong Kong extended the previous day's gains.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.45 per cent, or 12.38 points, to 2,758.58 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, rose 0.54 per cent, or 9.38 points, to 1,759.40.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose 0.48 per cent, or 89.98 points, to 19,008.12.
