Singapore shares begin afternoon trading on positive ground; STI at 3,554.19
SINGAPORE shares resumed trading on Monday afternoon in positive territory with the Straits Times Index at 3,554.19, up 0.11 per cent, or 3.83 points, on the day as at 1.16pm.
Gainers outnumbered losers 201 to 161, with about 952.9 million shares worth S$715.6 million in total changing hands.
Active index stocks included SGX, which was up 25 Singapore cents at S$8.23. Sembcorp Marine also rose 10 Singapore cents to S$2.40 on heavy trading.
