Singapore shares close 0.3% down on Tuesday

SINGAPORE stocks ended 0.3 per cent lower on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index shedding 11.35 points to 3,476.53.
About 1.91 billion shares worth S$1.31 billion in total changed hands, which worked out to an average unit price of S$0.68 per share.
Top stocks by value traded included the three banks, as well as Singtel and Genting Singapore.
Losers outnumbered gainers 280 to 180, or about three down for every two up.
