Singapore shares close 34.5 points lower on Thursday

    SINGAPORE shares closed lower on Thursday with the Straits Times Index losing 34.48 points or 1.05 per cent to 3,249.52.

    Some 2.13 billion shares worth S$1.15 billion changed hands. Losers outpaced gainers 283 to 152.
